bits and pieces.

So there's this patient that I've had on my rehab floor the past couple weeks and I've gotten to know him and his family pretty well. Their a lil country family which I of course love but loved even more last week when he told me in the middle of the night as I was giving him pain medication "my wife just loves you, she really does. Thanks for taking care of me." Well last night I had another encounter with this awesome family and this is how my convo with the wife went.. looking at my hand she asked "you're not married??" "nope" "really? I just can't believe that some handsome man hasn't just come and swept you up by now! you're adorable." "well nope actually marriage just isn't my thing (with awkward laughter)..."well soon enough you're gonna meet a gentleman who's gonna change your mind" "We'll see about that"
made me laugh. I found it hilarious, and made my night. love that funny and obviously a little delusional family : )

grown up world had a reality check today in the form of picking up my mail and my parents house. One letter saying that I was kicked off my parents dental and vision insurance for not being in school anymore and the other: a massive envelope with all the benefits program information from my work. Not looking forward to having to pick an insurance plan let alone have to start paying for it...

i am loving my new iPhone. I took the plunge a couple weeks back now and I'm in love. Seriously love having everything at the tip of my fingertips. Let's just say it also comes in handy with my new night shift schedule for some good F-Book stalking in the middle of the night if I hit a down time and start to get sleepy. I also love the (cliche) instagram app. But it's fun to play around with photos on it.

only had 2 diet cokes today. That is major progress for me and I am going to start being better about not having 90% of the fluid running through my veins, but it's gonna have to be a slow process because caffeine headaches I am not a fan.

Another work story: the respiratory therapist be-friended me on facebook last night and as he started to stalk my page and pictures through the laughter he said "it looks like you've done a lot and had a lot of fun Brittany". Made me smile because yes I have and that's what I love about this life, and the fact that I have all the pictures to prove it's been and continues to be a wild ride : )
