painful mystery solved

I had my wisdom teeth removed clear back in March. Through that process I ended up getting dry socket on my bottom right tooth, and ever since then my jaw has not been the same but has been full of sharp piercing pain at the sight, as well as radiating pain to my right ear plus I can barely open my mouth wide enough to eat a small hamburger which even then causes sharp pain.

anywho, I've been suffering with this for about 5 months now and as panic has started to set in that I'll never be the same again I asked my dentist about it at my cleaning appointment yesterday and mystery has been solved!

Turns out with dry socket it tends to heal over something which could even be a little morsel of food or other particles in the infection sight and from the X-ray I had done turns out that's just what happened. I have not healed one bit on my bottom jaw from my wisdom teeth surgery months ago! My bone isn't even fused back together. No wonder I'm in so much pain all the time.

Luckily enough, my dentist said it's easy to fix and after a visit back to the wisdom teeth removal place I should be on my way to healing and back to normal. YAY!

PS. did I mention that my dentist is extremely attractive?? because he is : ) maybe I'll look into marrying someone in dentistry...

Ha ha ha your last comment reminds of the Brady Bunch episode when Marsha has a crush on her dentist.
