Let freedom ring, It's independence day

My 4th of July celebrations started on Thursday morning when I woke up super early to go meet up with Ash & Jake for the hot air balloon fest. Provo does it every year but I never get there in time to watch the balloons inflate so I was excited to get to watch that this time around, however I was not happy that with the crappy weather warning for the day they didn't let the balloons take off. I was tempted to just go jump in a basket and take myself for a ride, but instead we settled for a photoshoot on the ground.

Friday was an extremely great day for the peaks, so I did just that. Got some sun, ate some deep fried goodies like funnel cake, played with the little bro, J.Love and Danny. Loved it! Oh and have to mention as well that was the day I went down the final slide at 7 peaks that I had never been on, the skyscraper/blue body slide. So scary! I was off the slide for a long time when I shot out of the enclosed part, I'm so glad I landed back on the slide instead of cement.

Friday night I went and wandered around the freedom fest with some fam to see what the booths had to offer this year. not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed, but with the way the economy is this summer I shouldn't have been surprised. at least got a yummy snow cone : )

After freedom fest joys I met up with Candice, Josh and Dustin and we played a game of Bocce ball on the lawn of the library, surrounded by all the crazies sleeping out for the parade. oh and PS.I am extremely good at bocce ball.

I worked the morning of the 4th, making me miss out on the parade so I met up with the fam afterwards and had a great BBQ, played some ping pongs matches, followed by an amazing nap. That night I got double the BBQ when Josh made more burgers before we ventured out to find a spot for the fireworks show. We ended up on a hill by Y trail head, a perfect spot overlooking the city with a great view of stadium's fireworks.

Candice's little sister ended up coming down to hang out with us for the nights festivities

The night ended by us girls trying our hands at making smoothies for the guys, which we did an amazing job at by the way, and watching a little bit of bond, James Bond. All in all I had such a great 4th of July weekend! : )
