When it first started to get really nice outside I figured it was a great day for Rock Canyon Park. Candice had never been there in the summer so we were both excited to get out and enjoy the sun.
Stewart Falls was an unknown mystery to me about that I only knew of because of what others had told me about it. That was until last week. Brookie, Candice and I donned our hiking clothes and made the trek up sundance canyon and picniced on the way up. The falls were gorgeous!! They were also freezing cold! but we played in them and danced around in them long enough to get soaking wet for the hike down.
My friend Mindy moved back home to Logan for the summer and I MISS HER! Candice is doing a girls retreat in Logan for a week this summer and had to go up for training one saturday so I rode with and spent the day with Mindy. I had only been to Logan once before and all I really saw was the temple so it was fun for her to be my tour guide and see where she grew up and places that made her who she is today. The Logan zoo was particulary my favorite attraction. We had fun tantalizing and teasing the animals getting lots of dirty looks from little kids and their parents : ) it was great.
the rest of our adventures for the day took place playing on her ranch. we got the 4-wheeler stuck and ran out of gas, chased cows, went and got a load of hay with her daddy, and got cokes at the local mechanic. Reminded me so much of when I was younger in Helper. I loved it and had a complete blast!
Once Candice was done with training we all cowgirled up(I was the only brave one to wear my cowgirl hat) and headed over the the Derby. once again, Soo much fun! maybe it's the small town girl part of me but I love white trash things and it was so much fun to get into the derby like it was a Jazz game. After the derby was over we drove to Smithfield where we watched fireworks and then finished the night playing catch phrase by fire light in Derek's backyard. Then Candice and I made the drive back to Provo, which was later decided it wasn't our smartest move but nonetheless we made it home safe.

ohh you are adorable! dang girl, i want to look as good as you do in cowboy boots! looks like you had a GREAT weekend! and i'm happy to see your still enjoying that little river at rock canyon :) those pictures are great. lets play soon???
