I started the day off with some lunch at Cafe Rio with Jessie. Funny thing is that last time we were both together on cinco de mayo was 3 years ago! That day we went to cafe rio as well and then proceeded with a self timer photo shoot up at Rock Canyon Park. Here's my favorite shot from that day:
Not only do we look different now but so much has changed since then, for instance I've got 3 years of college behind me and am now in a nursing program to do what I've always wanted to do, and Jess is Married and will be a mommy come September. weird.
After some lunch I finally went grocery shopping and stocked my apartment with some food, and did some other petty things like hang out with the old ladies of my family's ward learning about food storage and thinking to myself "man I'm so glad I'm not married right now, get me back to my single friends".
Later that night Candice and I invited some people over, our good friends Brook and Jacqui for some chips and salsa as well as a pinata(not quite sure if that's how it's spelled). It was so much fun! we hung the pinata off the balcony of our condo complex and then borrowed a bat from my parents to do some damage. We weren't bad shots and with all the noise we were making so late at night it ended up catching the attention of some of our neighbors and their friends who came out and joined in with us, and we ended up meeting some way cool people. oh I almost forgot, my brother Taylor bought us some great sombreros to wear for the occasion as well.
