Crazy to think that this time a year ago we were here....
staying here....
Now I'm all graduated with a grown up job and she's in another country teaching the gospel. Kobe is such an amazing friend, and this past year as I was going through all the drama "find out who your friends are", she was outstanding and continues to be! Her weekly e-mails are something I look forward to EVERY week. Every week she re motivates and reminds me of what's really important in life so that I can buck up and make it through another week. She's grown up so much, but yet she's still our little Jacqui.
Some excerpts from recent letters: "I love my mission, I just don't know where to begin. I am so grateful for the learning opportunities I have everyday. In the morning I ask to become better in every way, and that day is usually hard and I realize some of my flaws can be fixed."
"How can we be great in the next life, if we aren't trying to be great in this life. We start out as coal, and with time, heat, and a lot of pressure we become brilliant diamonds."
"You can do hard things, and I know how special you are. We are family and I always have your back. Vent, laugh, smile, eat, whatever you need I am here : )"
Thanks for always being there Kobe, for always listening(or more so reading these days) and for the most amazing advice all the time. Never fail, you're my best friend. I hope you don't get Candice and I's package too late. I'm so proud of you.
Can't wait to take Vegas by storm again when you return, Daph and I even talked about it some over lunch the other day and you are in for some big surprises my friend.
also PS. I still plan on marrying your gorgeous cousin, in two years of course : ) Love and miss you so much, Cal
