elder cw

guess who's home from a 2 year journey....
Elder Cole Warburton!

I first met Cole YEARS ago, back in the day when we were young kiddos running around Helper Ut. We were in the same ward and our family's became good friends. The Warburton family has always been talented in the sporting area so when Cole's sisters would have an away game and their mom was the coach we got to "babysit" Cole and he would come hang out at our house. My favorite memory of this was when Cole was showing Channy and me his Tango skills and would switch off partners as we danced around our bedroom. cute right? our friendship didn't stop there, from night games with the neighbors, comparing who got the worst allergies from hiding in the pastures, mutual activities making fun of Michael Mastin and hiding from him, "kiss this goodbye" serenades with the three of us in my dad's car, skipping seminary in 9th grade to go play with him in PE, playing pepper/warming up with me before a volleyball game and trust me he don't hold nothing back, walking home after school when I missed the bus, and most recently getting to write him while he's been on his mission in Florida. He's such a great guy and I'm so proud of him for going and serving faithfully, welcome home Cole!
We had the opportunity to go down to Helper this past Sunday to hear him talk and it was so great. he did well on his talk and we got to see some old friends and visit the ward and building that I grew up in. Crazy how things change and people grow up. I feel old. But it was great to see everyone again.

this is one of my favorite pictures from the day, check out those facial expressions! priceless.

love this kid!
