memorial week madness

better late than never. Memorial day was awesome, why? because I had the day off and took full advantage of that. I went to 7 Peaks that afternoon with Jessie, Danny, Matt, and another married couple. My first time at 7-Peaks means summer has officially started : ) The weather wasn't too amazing but we still laid out, played some UNO, went down some tube rides with the free rentals, and soaked in the wave pool. However, I must document that this was also the day that I went down Free fall for the first time in my life! People have been trying to get me to go down that slide for years now and I finally did it. Huge adrenaline rush as well as quite the wedgie.

After a day in the sun I headed over to my parents house for a family BBQ. Channy was up from St. George for the week so it was nice that we could all be there.

Post-dinner all of us kids went and watched X-Men 3, Wolverine. Which was my second time seeing it and I just have to say I love that movie, even though I really do wish he could just remember his little lover. oh well, still a great movie!

The fun didn't stop on Monday, Tuesday night while Channy was still in town we went out to celebrate Ashlee and Tanner's birthdays...


Wednesday we took a girls day out trip to Manti. Mom and Ash had the day off from Schouten's so Candice got adopted as a sister for the day and went and did temple work as a family. My grandpa is a temple worker there, which Manti is one of the two temples left in Utah that still act out the session, and since we got there a little earlier than planned he was able to come down to the baptistery and do Channy's and mine confirmations. It was a way cool experience and all the temple workers were so sweet to us, we really felt like royalty or celebrities. Guess that's what you get when you have amazing grandparents who work in the temple.






We took a pit stop in Ephraim while we waited for Ashlee to get her haircut and we found ourselves at IFA's country store, which is one of my favorite stores because it reminds me so much of when I was younger. The over sized coveralls and hats of course turned into a photoshoot.





Lastly, Friday I went to seven peaks again for the 2nd time in one week! it was great. Man do I love that place. This time I went with my sisters, and Ash's friends Ryan, Steph, and baby Avery. however, the Utah weather turned very tricky and the sun was suddenly taken over by massive black clouds causing us to leave early : (




All in all it was a great week! Thanks for coming up and playing Channy, it was so much fun to see you and get to spend some time with you. Can't wait for next time : )
