happy summer.

I love summer!! it's always been my favorite season, it always seems like the fun is limitless in the summer and these days I work hard, and play even harder. Some of my adventures lately consist of...

enjoying a bahama mama from my favorite snow cone place, summer sno.
A surprise cake fight with these ladies at sugarhouse park!

Pool day and weiner roast at Vantana. our sweet 3 person tower : )

Celebrating the 4th of July of course! Celebrated work free and had sorts of festivities: balloon fest with brookie, stadium of fire watching the amazing Brad Paisley with the fam, picnic and longboarding up provo Canyon, and firework sessions with the neighbors and fam.

amazing pedicures with these amazing ladies. I have found my new favorite pedicure place!

Concert at Muse Music watching some real talent, mostly included people from Cedar City such as Hayley McClellan and Lance Lowry(the boy whose life we "saved" back in Cedar months ago with the rare heart condition laying on the side of the road), and of course my favorite of the evening J.Wride.

I'm so lucky to be living close to my amazing family and awesome friends!! long live summer, and long live my good times. many more to come!!

employment.

I have a job : )
I've been employed for two weeks now! It was 2 weeks ago exactly when after an extremely frustrating and depressing week I was talking to my mom Sunday night after family dinner and she told me that I needed to make a list of everything I was unhappy about and wanted different in my life. My mom is known for phrases and sayings that stick with you such as "Go up Big", and "we are not afraid of hard", etc... well that night she told me if you don't like it, fix it!
So I came home and pulled out a notecard and wrote down unemployment status as #1 on my list. Within 5 minutes I got a phonecall from Candice saying I needed to call Christina, another girl/friend she works with right away! she said that I might have a job. So out of curiosity I called Christina and in a long story short way she pretty much said congratulations you're hired! She told me that her boss, Kerrie, had told her to have me come in Monday to fill out paperwork and drug test. I was in such confusion and shock that I burst into uncontrollable laughter, I think it was my way of relieving all the built up stress. Anywho I finally got control of myself, got some sleep and showed up to the facility the following morning. I met Kerrie who took me on a tour of the building, including stopping by the nurses station to say hello to candice, and all throughout the tour she was introducing me as an interviewee for an RN position. Really confused but excited and nervous I continued answering her almost interview questions as we walked. When we got in the elevator she told me that she liked what she had seen, heard, and had gotten really good things said about me from Candice and Christina along with my references and that if I wanted the position we could head downstairs and start paperwork. So that's how it happened, overnight!! Within 24 hours I suddenly was employed and within 48 hours I was thrown back into the working world working 3 12 hour+ day shifts, training. I trained 2 nights this past week then had a day off before working another day shift, my first shift as an RN without training and let's just say it was scary day!!! Crazy day and I ended up being there for 15 hours, and did I mention no lunch break?? Thank goodness Candice was working the other floor and could come help me because I would have literally killed over and died. Let's just say that it's been really stressful and really interesting being a nurse. I still feel like a student, especially when I was training/orientating. But as stressful as it is, it's nice to be working again and I can't wait for the paycheck : ) I've been exahusted for 2 weeks and the majority of the time I've been sleeping while everyone else was up and working while everyone else was sleeping but I can't wait to get feeling more comfortable as a nurse and continue to learn more. Working world I am back!!!!!

twenty four

Happy Be-lated birthday post to my dear and best friend Candice woods or as she may also be known as: Candy@ss, Candy, Duwayna, w.woman, lil sweetheart, nursey nurse, lil sweetheart, and Candydice. Happy 24th to someone who I think the world of and who is one of the greatest people I know. Thanks for always being such a great friend lady, for being thoughtful and of course always making me laugh. We've had so many adventures and memories over the past 4 years and crazy to think that we first met working at the EP while you were training me and we were bonding over the brandon's we were dating, then we started our 2 year roommate stretch, meanwhile I watched you go through nursing school and then graduate and join the working world. Can't wait to continue our adventures and craziness and see where our lives take us next.
in honor of the birthday girl we had dinner at Olive Garden the night before with the ladies, a pool party all day Saturday at Dani's parents awesome backyard, and then cowgirled up for the Lehi Roundup rodeo that night. It was a partaaay weekend!

Love you with every atria and ventricle in my heart lady! love,Paco the indian : )

.mi casa.

between studying for the NCLEX all of May, then job hunting all of June I have FINALLY gotten to decorating my room and having things hanging on all the white walls. I must say even if I am not totally happy with the roommate situation I do love my room/bathroom/closet. I've never had this much space to myself and I love it. granted take these pictures of my room with a grain of salt because I don't have a clue how to decorate but as we all know I love pictures so that's what I surround myself with. Also no pictures of the rest of the condo-roommates are messy and not as full of personality as I am : ) so no sense posting pictures. Anywho...

side view to show how massive this thing is....I need to go shopping still to fill it up more : )
my own little "hallway". Bathroom is on the right, right before the door to my bathroom. and yes that's George he had to still get his spot in the room somewhere : )

And that's the walkthrough via pictures in an aerial scan order.

ps. I have to backtrack back to my western section on top of my entertainment center to do a close up on this beautiful arrangement my mom did for me!! The colors of my room, complete with horse rope, and cat tails : ) I love it mom thank you so much!!

the return.

The 141st battalion made it home safely from Iraq after being gone for a year! I was lucky enough to be able to go to the homecoming in Salt Lake at the same military hangar where the sendoff was back in 2010. It was such an amazing experience and once again it felt just like movies to see wives and kids running to their dads, or dads running to their wives and children. I feel so lucky to have been apart of this welcome home and I'm so grateful for those that sacrifice so much for our country, I've gained an even greater appreciation for them and their families through this experience. And I won't admit it to Jake but it's nice to have him back around again : ) we've missed him and we're glad that him, his brothers, his friends, and his unit in general made it back safe!! Welcome Home 141st!!
Kezzy's T-Shirt said Out of my way! I'm here to pick up my daddy!

Jax man's shirt said "mommy says daddy's coming home, I finally get to meet the man behind the voice!"

The Brandt mom, Brandt wives, Beekman's wife, and Pinon's Girlfriend.

The family finally back together again!
