Feliz Navidad Family and Friends!
We find ourselves at the end and this estimated end of the world has treated me far beyond my expectations! 2012 has been the best year yet and as I look back the biggest word that comes to mind is ADVENTURE!
2012 started on the wrong foot as January was the worst month and made me want to quit my job! I began to learn a lot about life and realized some people just aren't what they seem-therefore major changes in the social circle were made and I moved on to bigger and better things!
I finally began to see the world more this year-starting with Texas in March. Besties 2012 was a trip of a lifetime as 3 best friends and Kyle took Houston by storm! I'd have to say crossing the Houston Rodeo off my bucket list was my favorite, while the vietmanese food was not. Many memories were made as we embarked on multiple adventures that trip.
The week I returned home from Texas I met a boy....not just any boy mind you. I met the Hud man aka The Hudson Hornet, aka Russell Hudson. A mutual friend that I worked with at Provo set us up and let's just say she knew what she was doing. Between our busy schedules we found some time to hang out and talk up the updates aka lift I was doing to my truck, but it felt like forever until we went on our adventurous first date. Due to some mutual confusion it leads us to a pause in this part of my story...
I moved out of my "condo" at the first of April into a darling townhome with a co-worker. I bought a huge bed that I actually fit in and lifted my truck along with some other touch-ups for the ol Hanky Panky.
And then the 2012 traveling train took me to Tennessee!!
My mom and dad, Tanner and I traveled to Marysvale! Toured the neighboring cities then ventured to Nashville where I was able to cross another thing off my bucket list: Visit the Grand Ol' Opry!! and yes it's just amazing and full of country music spirit as you imagine it is! Other adventures included zip line tours, cruising around the rocky mountains, music row and the country music hall of fame, nashville zoo, and visiting neighboring tourist towns like Gatlinburg! It was an amazing trip that ended to soon findng us back in the 801.
We may now return to the Hud man story: after some mutual friends intervene and clear up the confusion we began dating in May! The summer of 2012 was filled with so many adventures and fun times with this boy. One of the biggest adventures the summer brought was my first deer hunt experience! Russ had drawn for the bookcliffs archery hunt and I took a week off to tag along. I ended up having to help pack out the deer just the two of us from the bottom of a canyon. I learned a lot from that deer hunt and the hunting extravaganza continued over to another deer hunt, then grouse, duck, and elk hunting! my man loves hunting can ya tell : )
Mixed in with the summer hunting adventures I also celebrated the 4th of july, turned 24, and kezy who's suddenly a little adult turned 3.I also got the AMAZING news that my sister is pregnant again which means 2013 will bring the joy of a new niece or nephew to my life. I'm so excited I can't wait!
I ventured into a new adventure the first of October as I quit my first nursing job at Provo and became a real big girl hospital nurse! It's been the biggest change (for the good), and I'm learning a lot! I'm so grateful for how it's worked out and the lives that have already effected me because of it. Not to forget another benefit is now working with my BFF brookie!
A novemeber highlight of the year was when I got to FINALLY attend an Eric Church concert! It turned out to be quite the adventure with Kip and Justin Moore also performing. I was in heaven, such a fun concert!!
Thanksgiving was spent with the Garlick clan in Sanpete! Us Olsens took off to the moutainside before the dinner to shoot off some pumpkins and clay pidgeons.
Which leads me to December-Jax has now turned 2 and I feel my niece and nephew are officially smarter than me! However, they never fail to make me smile and always remind me what's important in life.
As 2012 comes to a close I find myself being grateful. Grateful for: the amazing year and all I've been blessed to experience, my family, Russ, my friends, a great job, a roof over my head etc...
Happy Holidays!! Love Britt

1-I like how you worded the part about you and Russ being ridiculously ridiculous---I mean a misunderstanding.
2-I'm pretty sure Kez and Jax are smarter than you, so I agree-what can I say, they have my genes ;)
3-FINALLY a blog post, glad it took the end of the world to get an update.
What a great update...you definitely need to do it more often! So glad I made it to the list :) Love you girl, hope to see you soon!!!
