Everyone's got someone that they'd refer to as a hero figure in their life, or possibly even famous people that they look up to in life. I however chose more personable people to look up to in my life as my role models and they are my parents, specifically today my dad.

Allow me to fill you in on a little secret about me....just the word dad or talking about him makes me cry. I have so much respect for him, and look up to him as such a great example.

Dad everyday you get up and go to a job that you dislike at hours when no one should even be thinking about getting up yet, but you do it for all of us, you start early and end late everyday. Even when you're not at work you are always thinking of others, attending every one's events, being there for all the ward members, you're one of the first ones to the church on Sunday's and the last ones to leave. You go without sleep, and even skip meals to make sure that everyone else's needs are met first. You never whine, you never complain, you never hold grudges, you never judge. Me on the other hand... I'm sorry I complain so much because I don't have it as bad. Thanks for teaching me the concept of "It could always be worse".

Dad you sacrifice so much for us kids and mom and I want you to know that I truly appreciate all you do, I seriously couldn't be where I'm at today without you and I hope one day I can make you proud and make all the sacrificing worth it for you. Thank you for teaching me qualities that are important in a man and for reminding me when I get caught up in worldly affairs what really matters. I'll never forget all the thoughtful/little things you've done and continue to do.
