days of "labor"

I went home for labor day this year. I wasn't planning on it but I had the day off this year(which never happens) so I took full advantage and after clinicals Friday myself and two friends hit the road back to Utah county. It was such an amazing weekend! The first two weeks of school have been tough and it was nice to have a little vacation away from the stress.

*Saturday*
I hung out at the Grandparents house and had a "produce party". We picked corn, husked it, bagged it and also canned peaches all morning. Let's just say watching my mom and grandma bustle around the kitchen trying to teach me about canning made me really grateful that I still have time to learn how to be a mom and wife someday cause I am no where near experienced for that kind of thing. My favorite part of course was taking the peels and husks out to the pasture and making new best friends with all the cows
my cousin Megan's baby shower was that afternoon which worked out perfectly for me to be in town for. She looks adorable and I can't wait to see her baby girl in a about a month.
all I gotta say was Go Cougs!!! That game was amazing! Still can't believe they beat em but definitely kudos. (Thanks for letting us all invade your house and for the amazing dip Ash)

*Sunday*
I got to go visit my old ward, I miss them so much!! Our guy friends were so much fun this summer and it made my day to see them again. Also got to see my old roommate and condo. Lisa rearranged it and added a huge red love sac, yeah looks way better now and I miss it.
I finally got to see Jenny again! this was the longest separation we've ever had and it was so fun to go on a long scooter ride and catch up on each others summers. I still we wish lived in the same town.
Jeni came down to visit and we went to Bicentennial Park with her sister Jessica. We walked through the swampland, got freaked out and came running, screaming out of it. quite the sight to see I'm sure.






*Monday*
I forgot my suit so while everyone else went to 7 Peaks I hung out with my mom and niece, pretended to study and ended up taking a much needed nap! apparently everyone else was tired on labor day...
