Jiffy Lube

Attention fellow Cedar City residents:
Due to my latest discovery on my drive to Walmart, it has come to my attention that Jiffy Lube is in great need of business. Had they not had so much time on their hands they would not have been able to build this...

However, I must thank you jiffy lube for allowing me the opportunity to see the tallest snowman I have seen in quite a long time. Now if only you could send a man that tall my way I'd appreciate it : )

blah...blah...blah

-My laptop is broken, again! I'm not quite sure what happened this time but thankfully I have a great neighbor back home who's trying to fix it for me. just means less facebook time and more trips to the library for homework : )

-It is amazing what some college students will do for extra credit! just last week my class donated blood at our school for 20 points extra credit. can you say desperate?? I think so. However it was my first time and I was nervous, but I did just fine (minus exhaustion and nausea for the rest of the day, but at least I didn't pass out!) I even have this to prove I lost blood...

-I have never been more stressed out with school in my entire 4 year college career than I am this semester!

-Despite the constant stress I am so happy right now! I had what I like to call an epiphany last night where I realized just how good life is and how satisfied I am with where I'm at right now.

-Winter is not my favorite season and I am reminded of it every morning lately when I wake up to piles of snow and have to scrape snow or frost off my car windows. bring on texas! or at least a garage...

-My clinicals are all over this semester and my first one was this week at Behavioral Medicine in St George and holy cow what a humbling experience it was!! Things really truly could always be worse.

-Knowing that I can't go home on the weekends is rough and makes me really miss my family and friends in P-town.

-My niece is growing like a weed! I swear she'll be eating solid foods by the next time I see her : )

-It's the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FYI...

"You're expected to know as much as physicians in a much shorter amount of time"
advice from my professor on the first day of school, following it with this...

"This is going to be your hardest most tough semester of nursing school. Good luck, you're going to need it"

And after finishing this first week of this semester, I've decided I'm going to need a lot more than luck on my side if I'm going to pass.

oh joy! Bring it on.

Cheers to '10

Change. Something I hated in High School but since I've been in college I seem to crave. And when I found myself in a certain situation a few years ago I've been having lots of change and attempting to make each year better than the last. 2009 was an amazing year for me! Here are some things that I will remember 2009 for:

-Became an aunt to the most beautiful baby girl Keznee

-Winning a backstage pass & Meeting Rascal Flatts

-Tried Wakeboarding for the first time...and got up!

-Held and met my "nephew" and best friends baby Max

- Superbowl Sunday

-Turned the big 21

-My stalker

-Dance Parties in St. George with the CC crew

-Started Nursing School

-Visited and came to love Cache county

-reunited with an amazing friend, a best friend

-Had another sibling go on the other side of the world

-BYU 57th ward(actually living in a BYU ward & BYU housing)

-Met Allred and fell in love with his music

-Studio 600

-Spanish Fork hot pots

-Caught my first fish, I mean fishes, since I was a kid

-Staying with complete strangers in AZ for Spring Break and had an unexpected amazing time

-Went to pro baseball game Cubs vs. Brewers

-Going on Colossus at Lagoon

-cut down my first Christmas tree

-Unemployment (times 2)

-actually spent time in Parowan

-Met Jeff Dye, MTV's comedian

-Watched my little brother Promenade

-Rodeos in Pleasant Grove, Logan, Cedar City, etc..

-Going down EVERY slide st 7 peaks

-Longboarded SUU's campus

So thank you 2009, 2010 you have a lot to live up to. Bring it on : )

Times 2

Happy Belated Birthday to:

1st- my brother in law on Dec 26th
2nd- my Dad on Dec 27th
Both are such amazing men! Jake has turned out to be the older brother I've always wanted and my Dad continues to sacrifice and do things for our family without asking for anything in return.

I love you both!!

back in the flesh & feeling so fresh

After 4 months being on the other side of the world my little sister is back from China!! we picked her up from the airport Monday night so she made it just in time for all the Christmas festivities. WELCOME HOME CHANNY!!
waiting for the plane to land

Just Joking

The night before I came home for Christmas break Jacqui, Suzie, and I decided to play a little prank on our guy friends. After our well sought out plan got ruined by one of the roommates and we got totally caught trying to hide our dead, dried out Christmas Tree in the master bedrooms shower. Needless to say the prank ended with us spending 2 1/2 hours locked in their closet that they tied shut with twine. Instead of giving them the freaking out panicked reaction they wanted we took matters into our own hands and had a photo shoot in their clothing, took the screws out of the hinges (hiding them in their shoes of course so they wouldn't find them after we busted out), and made a bed on the floor talking only loud enough on certain matters like using the bathroom in their boots.

Like we had planned the boys got bored of our no reaction and we were freed before our plan of removing the doors hinges and sneaking out took place. Lesson we learned: don't mess with a house of 11 hick guys. Even though we were, just joking, we are now on our guard for some serious pay back : )

12/12/87

12/12 is a special day around here in P-town, and all over the world for that matter, because it's the day we celebrate Jenny Pate's birth so... HAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY J-PATE!!
Jenny and I first met 6 1/2 years ago when my family moved to p-town(two houses down from her). I wish I could say it was friends at first sight but my very first Sunday here all she was interested in was if I had any brothers : ) We became friends later that year, on her birthday actually, I passed her in the hall at school when she invited me to go to Cafe Rio with her and some of her friends for her birthday lunch, luckily enough I agreed and not only have I been in love with Cafe Rio ever since but she's also been what I consider my best friend since then.
Our families still live two houses away but ever since high school we seem to have a hard time finding ourselves in the same town! between me going away to school and her leaving town on the summers it can get hard to stay in touch but we manage to do it (Maybe it's Red Mango????). anywho... In honor of your birthday Jenny I have raided my parents computer for some pictures of our adventures over the years for your viewing pleasure : )
ps.(brace yourself I got a little carried away....)

Jenny you're beautiful, ridiculously smart, talented, hilarious, and so much fun to be around. Thank you so much for finally being my friend so many years ago : ) I can't wait till summer of '11 when we can finally be roommates! Texas won't know what hit it. Happy Belated Birthday, I love you J-Pate!

blah...blah...blah

1.finals are over!!!!! and I'm officially done with level 1 of nursing school(that is if I passed all my classes).

2. I got nausea talking to the level 2's about the semester that's ahead of me and I've decided "I think I can" will be my new motto come January.

3. I'm officially unemployed...again. long story. Hard decision but huge relief afterwards.

4. I am home!! and not just home for the weekend either, I get to be here for almost a whole month! which explains why I have invaded and taken over my little brothers room instead of staying in the office like usual weekend trips. thank you : )

5. between my bro-in-laws deployment and my little brothers missions this will be our last Christmas together as a whole family for about 4 years.

6.My little sister gets home from china in a little over a week!!

7. I may go broke over christmas break being once again in driving distance to Red Mango.

8. no I am still not married, engaged, dating anyone, etc...

9. I hate winter! I especially hate driving in the snow. It will be a lot more enjoyable in a year and a half when I have my truck with 4 wheel drive : )

10. Life is great!!!
